Today, let’s talk about that all time favorite classic striped button-down. Yup, that boring old shirt you, your mom, your dad and your brother have owned for ages. Luckily, there are so many twists and newness can possibly be brought while styling this piece. After all, girls need options right! If you feel like you have already exhausted all your styling possibilities, do not worry, that’s what I am here for. So to break you out of your style rut, I am going to share with you two of my newly experimented ways to wear this classic striped button-down to help you easily transition your winter wardrobe into Spring. You can easily apply this styling formula to any of the button-down shirts you already have in your closet. Remember the key here is to use what you already have and restyle it to create something new and exciting. 

Winter

For the colder climate peeps, let’s stick with pants alright? Pair the blouse with distressed or frayed denim with ankle velvet boots for an effortless yet polished look with a quirky touch. That’s the beauty of a good ol' classic shirt; they can go with virtually any bottom you pull out from your drawer. For that same reason, I can’t emphasize how important it is to choose the right closet staple to invest in. Because trust me, when done right, it will save you lots of time and money, still making you look chic and polished than ever! Lastly, don’t forget to put on your favorite minimal coat to add some warmth and sleek.

Spring

For my LA babes, let’s show some legs shall we? Here I paired the button-down with a ruffled skater skirt and a pair of strap sandals. Switch up the look with a fedora hat to add a touch of boho vibe. It’s that simple, a perfect day to night look that will definitely make you stand out in the crowd. For night occasions, you can simply loose the fedora and accessorize with some glam jewelries, and there you’re all set for a night out.
